Challenge #6 (Go for the Gold)

So I apologize for being a bit behind on this challenge...

(I have no idea why this is lopsided...)

This challenge was highlighting the ScandalEyes: Flex. Two words: LESS CLUMPS! It's amazing! We had to "flex" our muscles for our heritage and create looks from traditional looks. We had to incorporate the ScandalEyes: Flex and Glam Eyes Liquid Liner into our looks. I am mostly Lithuanian, which I will tell you now, not the cutest traditional clothing. So I had to modernize it in my own fashion. (:
For this challenge I decided to do 2 looks. A look inspired by the traditional look, and a look inspired by the flag.
The traditional Lithuanian clothing are patterned skirts, vests, and head pieces (hats and headbands).

So this is the first look! Traditional!

The outfit consists of  a mini/lace maxi skirt for the patterned skirt, a white tank, and a cut off jean vest. I also attempted to braid my slightly short hair and wore a headband. I did my best with what I had and I think I pulled it off. (:

Make up choices: I tried making it more neutral colours for a laid back look.
*Eyes*
Glam' Eyes HD 002 (English Oak)
Glam' Eyes Professional Liquid Liner in "Airplane Wings"
Soft Kohl Eyeliner 061 (Jet Black) on lower lids only
ScandalEyes Flex Mascara

*Cheeks*
Match Perfection Blush 002 (Light/Medium)

*Lips*
Lasting Finish by Kate (14)

Here is the second look that is inspired by the Lithuanian Flag!

The Flag:

The Look:

The look consists of a yellow burnout t-shirt, red Tripp skinny jeans, and a NAVY SeaBees jacket that my uncle had given me. The jacket is special to this challenge because my uncle wore this when he was over in Lithuania a while back, and I wear this with so much pride for who I am and where I have come from.

Casey.

Make up choices: I went more bold with this look and made it as close to the flag order as possible.
*Eyes*
Glam' Eyes HD Eye Shadow 007 (Heart of Gold) -only the yellow corner section and only on the lid of the eye
Glam' Eyes Eye Shadow 016 (Urban Flower) - only the green section and under the lower lid for a more dramatic look
Glam' Eyes Professional Liquid Liner in "Straight Wings"
Soft Kohl Eyeliner- lower lid only
ScandalEyes Flex Mascara

*Cheeks*
Lasting Finish Blush 004 (Tickle Me Pink)

*Lips*
Moisture Renew Lipstick 900 (Red Alert)

It's a little tough to see the yellow and green, but it was wonky lighting.

I really liked this challenge, because I really like the outfits I put together!

Let me know what you think!

Challenge #5 (A Tribute to Mum)

I loved this challenge! The reason being: I was able to do it with my mommy! We had to recreate a vintage photo our moms using the make up provided to us by Rimmel London. We had to do whatever we could to make the new picture as exact to the original as we possibly could.
Was kind of great timing, because my mom and I have been going through all of our pictures for my graduation party (yes, I'm graduating high school finally!!!) My mom and I also bonded very well over this challenge!

The picture above is the one I chose to recreate, it's a picture of my mom in high school. I love this picture! My mom's style was very simple and classic when she was my age, almost the exact opposite of my style. But it was so beautiful! And the one below is the recreation!

My mom was wearing a little bit of eyeshadow, so I used HD Glam Eyes, along with Match Perfection, Stay Glossy Lip Gloss, and blush, all by Rimmel London.

So, how do you think I did? Let me know!

I love you mommy!

Challenge #4 (Match Perfection)

I'm pretty sure this was the most challenging challenge so far...going without makeup for 1 week! Ahh... Haha. Actually, this challenge was not that bad for me with the make up portion, but for the outfit portion it was difficult.

In the goody bag I received had the collection of Rimmel London's Match Perfection products. The foundations of the challenge were we could only use the Match Perfection products along with ONE other product we use everyday. The choices were a light lip gloss, eye liner, or mascara. I chose mascara, because when I don't wear mascara I feel bare and I look tired. The other part of the challenge was to blank slate our wardrobe for the week as well, wear clothing that isn't too "bang pow." This was difficult for me as well, because most of my style and clothing is bright, and crazy, but I somehow figured it out. ;D

I will say that this was the worst possible week for me to get this challenge. The reasons being on Friday I had prom and then Saturday I had my cousin's wedding, so for those 2 days I had to dress up and have make up on, but I decided to tone it down a little. In here are the pictures from all of the days.

My favourite product from the Match Perfection collection: Match Perfection Blush

Challenge #3 (High Definition Scandal)

For this challenge I was given more shades of the Glam EyesHigh Definition Eye Shadows and the challenge was to take articles of clothing from my wardrobe that are old and make them "new" again. I decided, since we were nearing the end of winter and flinging into spring I would take an flannel and a pair of capris I don't wear anymore and do some scissor work on them.

Above is the outfit I chose. My 10 year old step sister helped me come up with the idea for the modifications. Together we decided I would make the capris into roll over shorts and the flannel into a cropped vest. Below is the finished product!

For my makeup I used Purple Reign eye shadow, Soft Kohl eyeliner, and ScandalEyes mascara!

Challenge #2 (Kiss Like Kate)

For this challenge we were given the task of using the new Kate Moss lipstick and seeing how many people we could kiss. I took my challenge a little out there by going to the Mall of America and asking people. I actually only ended up kissing people I knew on the cheek, which was still pretty awesome! Also getting my entire show choir team!

I will say, it was slightly awkward asking people if I could kiss their cheeks. Many people gave me very freaked out looks. But, this was an awesome opportunity for people to hear about The Rimmel 10!

This is the video I created for this challenge:

Challenge #1 (ScandalEyes)

I was so excited when I received my first Rimmel 10 challenge and the make up that I was given!
My goodie bag came filled with lipsticks, lip glosses, Lash Accelerator mascara and serum, eye liner, eye shadows, and the big deal, ScanalEyes mascara.

The challenge was to create a scandalous look profiling the NEW ScandalEyes Mascara. I had fun trying out the make up for a couple weeks before putting together my video for it. The ScandalEyes Mascara is a wonder!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I use it every day now. It plumps with no clumps. It's amazing!

This is the video I did for my first challenge.

The Story.

So one day I was just browsing along the internet and was thinking about how much I really needed more Moisture Renew lipstick from Rimmel London, because I'm obsessed with that stuff. So I went to the Rimmel London website and saw this tab about "Be the Next Rimmel 10!" I didn't think it would hurt to just enter, and I didn't think I would have a shot. All I had to do was put in my name, email, and reason why I should be chosen for the Next Rimmel 10.

About 2 weeks later I got an email saying that I was 1 of 30 girls chosen! I was in such shock; me, plain ole SSP girl, chosen. To make it to the top 20 I had to complete a challenge they gave me. I received my first package of makeup and my first challenge (which will be featured in a later post) and was then chosen to move on to the next round as a top 20 and people voted for me to be apart of the 10! I don't think I've ever had more support than during the month of voting! I thank everybody who voted for me!

Then on February 13th I got the call telling me I was a Rimmel 10 Girl! It was such a happy moment in my life! I was chosen out of over 400 entries and now I'm sitting here knowing I have a year full of so much fun ahead of me! Thank you!
